Responsibilities
- Offer the IVEP participant a meaningful volunteer work experience about 40 hours per week.
- Accept them as a valued member of your team, including them in appropriate staff activities and meetings.
- An average yearly sponsor cost will range from $7150-$8250 Cdn or $5760 US. This covers monthly host & participant stipends, room and board, and MCC administrative costs. Sponsors are expected to cover and arrange transportation to and from the workplace (bus pass, carpool, etc).
- US monthly break down:
$80 stipend, $250 host, $150 MCC administration, totaling $480 per month plus transportation.
- Canadian monthly break down:
$100 stipend, $350-$450 host (depending on region), $165 MCC Canada administration, $35 MCC Provincial administration, totaling $650- $750 per month plus transportation.
- Allow him/her three work weeks of vacation during the year in conjunction with your workplace schedule. MCC sponsored events are not vacation.
- Hold regular check-ins with IVEPers.
- Submit monthly reports to IVEP Coordinators.
- Complete an annual evaluation to be submitted to the IVEP Coordinator.
- Serve as liason with MCC
